Photography Students

On Saturday January 6th, Mrs. Jeske took Courtney Teitzel and McKenzie Armstrong too a regional photography competition.  Schools that were at the competition included Centralia HS, Woodland HS, Mark Morris HS and Napavine HS.  Students went through a series of technical tasks and assignments which included a digital trouble shooting task, onsite field assignment, portrait studio session and creation task in Photoshop as well as a written test.  Students had to provide two of their photos mounted on foam board for composition judging as well.

This was the first time Courtney and McKenzie competed in a photography contest.  Courtney took 2nd place and is automatically advancing to the state competition!  McKenzie finished 6th and has a chance to qualify for state depending on her overall score compared to those in other regions.  McKenzie actually scored the highest in the field assignment.

Great job to Courtney and Mckenzie, as well as Mrs. Jeske!
