Principal's Message

January 21st, 2016

Greetings Napavine Family!

I am writing to remind you that there is no school tomorrow, January 22nd for teacher in-service training and to let you know about a number of exciting events coming up this month in the life of our school.

1. Snuggle Up and Read: Please join us for a night filled with fun and reading on Thursday, January 28th at 6:30 PM. Families are invited to go classroom to classroom hearing stories read by staff and community members. Each student that attends will receive a book donated by the Napavine-Newaukum Lions Club.

2. Donuts for Dads: On February 11th (last name A-M) and 12th (last name N-Z) Dads are invited to come have breakfast with their children before school. We serve breakfast starting at 7:45 that morning. Breakfasts can be purchased at the normal rate of $1.60 for students and $2.05 for adults.

3. President's Day: School will be closed in observance of President's Day on Monday, February 15th.

4. Book Fair: Our annual Book Fair will take place the week of February 22nd. Students will have the opportunity to shop during their library and technology times that week. The Book Fair will also be open during Night of the Arts.

5. Night of the Arts: Our annual Night of the Arts event will take place Thursday, February 25th starting at 6:00 PM. The whole community is invited to visit the 6th grade science museum, view artwork and decorations created by each grade level, shop the Book Fair and bid on items at the PTA silent auction.

Thanks for another great month! I look forward to seeing you at these exciting events!

Sincerely,
Paul Lewis, Principal
