The Napavine School District is reminding our patrons to return their ballots for the levy election by February, 8th 2022 for our upcoming levy replacement. The proposed three-year levy will replace the District’s current levy approved by the voters in 2019 that expires at the end of 2022. Passage of this proposition would authorize the collection of taxes to provide $1,075,000 in 2023, $1,155,000 in 2024, and $1,245,000 in 2025. The tax levy rate required to produce these levy amounts is estimated to be $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value. The exact tax levy rate and amount to be collected may be adjusted based upon the actual assessed value of the taxable property within the District and the limitations imposed by State law at the time of levy. Exemptions from taxes may be available to certain homeowners. To determine if you qualify, call the Lewis County Assessor at 360.740.1392.
Again, the Napavine School District passed the levy in 2019 at an estimated $1.50 per $1,000 assessed value and the Napavine School District is asking our community for the same tax levy rate at an estimated $1.50 per $1,000 assessed value amount in 2022. If you have any questions with regards to the levy, feel free to contact Shane Schutz at 360-262-3303.
